Check what people will see

Preview one person's finished signature, including banners and disclaimers, without sending a test email.

Signed can render the exact signature any person will get. Use it after any change, and again whenever someone says their signature looks wrong.

Check a person from the add-in page

The Outlook add-in page has a Check someone's signature box. Type a name or address and Signed shows the finished result, built the same way Outlook builds it.

Your manifest

The manifest is what Microsoft 365 installs. It already carries your organisation's name, logo and client key.

Reduced motion is on, so the tour waits for you. Use the arrows or the list to move through the steps.

Check from the person's record

The user list has a preview action on every row. That is the quicker route when you are already looking at the person in question, and it shows which signature and which rule produced the result.

Note: A preview never changes anything. Nothing is saved, sent or logged as a change, so you can check as often as you like.

What to look for

  • The name and job title are right
  • Phone numbers use the format you want
  • The photo or initials look deliberate
  • Links point where you expect
  • The disclaimer reads the way legal approved it
  • Any live campaign banner has the right dates

If one of those is wrong, the fix is usually in one of three places: the person's own details, the signature design, or the rule that chose it. See Someone has the wrong signature.
