Campaigns and rules

The right signature for every team, and a banner for every moment

Assignment rules give each department, email domain or person their own signature. Campaign banners put your latest news under everyone's emails, on a schedule you set.

Assignment rules

One company, several signatures

Sales might want a booking button. Your office in Dublin needs its own address. The managing director wants a photo. Rules let every one of those live side by side without separate tools or manual edits.

Signed works out which rule applies to each person, every time they write an email.

  • Match by department, email domain or named person
  • Priorities settle it when more than one rule matches
  • A company standard for everyone else

Campaign banners

Every email becomes a quiet advert

Your team sends thousands of emails a week. A banner under each signature puts your event, offer or news in front of every one of those readers, and it stops on the date you choose.

  • Pick a start date and an end date
  • Show it to everyone or to one department
  • Added under the signature automatically, so templates stay untouched

Ideas

What to put in a banner

Banners work best when they're short, timely and have one clear action.

  • Events

Open days, webinars, trade shows and seminars, with a link to book.

  • Launches

A new product, service or office, for the weeks around the announcement.

  • Recruitment

Point every email at your careers page while you're hiring.

  • Opening hours

Christmas closures and bank holiday hours, set up well in advance.

  • Feedback

Ask customers for a review or to fill in a short survey.

  • News

An award, an accreditation you've earned or a milestone worth sharing.

Questions

Common questions

Can't see your question? Ask us directly.

How do rule priorities work?

Each rule has a priority number. When more than one rule matches a person, the rule with the highest priority wins. If two rules share a priority, the most specific one wins: a named person first, then a department, then an email domain.

What if no rule matches someone?

Set up a rule for everyone at the lowest priority and it becomes your company standard. Anyone who doesn't match a more specific rule gets that signature.

Can more than one banner show at once?

Yes. Every banner that's live for a person is added under their signature, in the order the banners were created. Most companies keep it to one at a time.

What happens when a campaign ends?

Nothing for you to do. After the end date the banner stops appearing on new emails. Emails that were already sent keep the banner they went out with.

Can a banner go to one team only?

Yes. Each banner can be shown to everyone or to one department.
